NEP/SNAP-ED

The goal of this program area is to educate limited resource families with young children and SNAP eligible individuals to plan nutritious meals on a limited budget, acquire safe food handling practices, improve food preparation skills and change behavior necessary to have a a healthy lifestyle.

Major Programs Focusing on: Nutrition and Wellness,Cooking Skills, Food Safety, Resource Management, Budgeting for Food, Healthy Eating, and Physical Activity for Healthy Bodies
Programs are held at the Extension Office or with these community partners: Feed My Sheep Food Pantry, Lake Cumberland Community Agency, Senior Commodity Group, Just Family Adult Day Care, Farmers' Market - Senior Voucher Program, Farm to School Program, 21st Century Program at Schools
